Privacy Policy
Last updated:
This policy describes how the public ShopFindio directory handles information when you browse malls and shops or contact us.
Browsing and searching
You can browse without creating an account. The website receives the page URL and browser language preferences to serve pages in English or Lithuanian. Directory searches and filters run in your browser. Search terms, country, city, selected mall and other filter choices can appear in the URL, including when you reload or share a link. Avoid entering personal or sensitive information into directory searches.
Optional location
Location is requested only after you choose the location feature and continue through its explanation. Your browser controls permission. The returned latitude and longitude are used in your browser to sort malls by distance. ShopFindio keeps these coordinates in tab memory across navigation; it does not put them in the URL, send them to its server or save them in local storage. Reloading the page clears this in-memory location. You can browse without sharing location and change permission in your browser settings. The browser may use its own location service to determine your position.
Cookies and browser storage
Changing language sets the shopfindio-locale cookie to en or lt for one year, unless you clear it sooner or choose a language again. It remembers your language across pages and visits. Without a saved preference, an unprefixed link uses your browser language where supported. The public website does not use localStorage or sessionStorage. Discovery choices are held in memory and, except for location, in the URL. Your browser may retain URLs in its history. You can clear cookies and history in browser settings.
Services and external content
ShopFindio reads published directory information from Supabase on the server. Mall logos can load directly in your browser from Supabase Storage or the external image host recorded for the venue. Those hosts receive your IP address and browser request information to deliver the image; mall-logo requests omit the referring page. Shop images normally pass through the website’s image service. Directions links open Google Maps with the mall destination, without adding your location coordinates. Venue websites and other external links are handled by their providers when opened, under their own privacy policies.
Analytics and technical requests
The public website has no application analytics, advertising trackers or visitor-log database implemented. Serving a page or image still involves network requests, including an IP address and browser request information. This policy does not specify hosting-provider log fields or retention because the production logging settings have not been verified.
Contact and data requests
For privacy questions or requests to access, correct or delete information relating to you, email info@shopfindio.com. Include the relevant page URL and enough detail to explain your request, without unnecessary sensitive information. Sending an email shares your email address, message and any attachments through the email services involved so your request can be handled. A fixed retention period for correspondence has not been confirmed.
Correction reports
When you submit a report, ShopFindio stores the affected mall or shop identifiers and name, issue type, suggested correction, missing shop name where applicable, optional source URL and email, language, submission reference and timestamps. Authorized reviewers also record review status, assignment, notes and resolution details. Your email and report are not published. We use this information to check and handle corrections and, if needed, follow up using the email you provide. To limit abuse, we derive a keyed hash from your IP address and store submission counters; the reporting system does not store the raw IP address. Reports are stored separately from the public directory and are available only to authorized staff within their permitted scope. We do not automatically visit links you supply. Retention is managed according to the review purpose and operational needs described below; there is no fixed deletion period promised for reports.
Sharing and retention
The service interactions described above explain the verified ways information is transmitted. Location stays in browser memory, URL choices follow the browser’s history and sharing behavior, and the language cookie has the expiry described above. No additional retention periods, provider storage locations or wider data-sharing arrangements are stated here because they have not been verified.
